Bonnie W. Smith
Bonnie W. Smith has over 15 years experience in substance abuse prevention including coalition capacity building and public health program evaluation. In 2005 she completed her Master of Public Health at the University of Connecticut, with a focus on the use of SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework in Connecticut’s Prevention Infrastructure.
She is a charter recipient for the National Certification in Public Health (2008). She has presented at a number of professional conferences including but not limited to National Problem Gambling, 2002; Office on Women's Health Region 1, Annual Conference 2011, Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), 2012, National Prevention Network, 2014.
Bonnie has experience in public health program planning and implementation, grant writing, coalition development, needs assessment and evaluation. She has worked in evaluation planning for the University of Connecticut’s Department of Community Medicine and Health Care and has served as a speaker on coalition based initiatives for CADCA. She currently leads evaluation and grant writing consultation projects at ERASE.
